George Washington Academy Charter School

Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Survey and Mapping
About This Project

Rosenberg Associates provided survey, civil design, and construction engineering services for a charter school (Grades K-8) in St. George, Utah.

Surveying services included the preparation of a field topographic base mapping, and the development of right-of-way and a road dedication plat. The site survey required coordination with a major area power line, irrigation company, and additional road frontage right-of-way.

Civil design included site storm water drainage evaluation and design, site grading design, and design for water, sewer, gas, and other utility connections.  Drainage design required additional mitigation for impacts from ground water and the canal to the west being a major drainage corridor for the south side of St. George.

A complete civil engineering construction plan set was prepared and reviewed with local utility service providers and the City of St. George engineering staff.

Construction engineering involved providing as-requested site visits to observe construction elements, review submittals, and respond to questions and address field changes.  Survey crews performed field staking for site utilities, roadway, building, and parking areas.
